In the heart of the vibrant Midwest – and at the core of Inman Heritage Museum – lies a steadfast dedication to honoring our origins and nurturing the ties that bind us. Showcasing the intriguing history of the families that settled the area, the heritage that came through those that developed it, and significant events that shaped its growth, the Inman Museum – for more than 30 years – has played a vital role in preserving and sharing the numerous, historically-rich stories that shape where we come from, who we are, and benefits future generations.
These stories serve as important threads in the intricate fabric, not just of Inman’s history, but of those across the Great Plains, weaving together the experiences, the challenges, and the triumphs that have shaped the community and the nation.
From the early settlers to the industrial era, the museum meticulously captures the essence of the past with more than 35 current exhibits, and hosts thousands of visitors each year from around the U.S. and abroad.

In 2024, Inman Heritage Museum has embarked on a new “Spirit of the Prairie” capital campaign that will raise funds for a new facility focused on sharing the stories of custom harvesters, the harvest brigade, and other intriguing tales that have yet to be told. It’s a history that shaped the nation and has forever changed the agricultural landscape as we know it today.
